The UK National Air Quality Information Archive - Information on the causes and effects of air pollution in the UK, local and regional air quality monitoring data and statistics, research information, and air quality news.

Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs - Access to up-to-date national, European and international air quality management information.

The Environment Agency - This site gives an explanation of the Environment Agency's role in regulating the release of pollutants into the air.  The site includes a 'What's in your backyard?' feature allowing the user to look at environmental data on a local scale.

Air Quality Strategy for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland - The Government's Strategy for improving and protecting ambient air quality in the UK, including air quality objectives for various pollutants.

TransportEnergy - Provides information on programmes which aim to help create a sustainable market for cleaner, greener vehicles in the UK. 

Inventory of European Research on the Indoor Environment - This database gives up-to-date information on indoor environment research activities throughout Europe.

The UK Indoor Environments Group - The UKIEG aims to co-ordinate and provide a focus for UK activity concerned with improving indoor environments for people, and the website notice board gives any recent information on indoor air quality issues. 

ECOtravel - is the one-stop information bureau for both business and the public which aims to raise awareness of sustainable travel, alternative fuels and the environment on Merseyside.

Solid Fuel Association - This website gives information on solid fuels and appliances that are suitable for use in smoke control areas. The whole of Liverpool is a smoke control area.

SafeClimate for businesses is a joint project of the World Resources Institute and the Center for Environmental Leadership in Business. The project is devoted to helping business of all sizes understand and take action on climate change.

Merseytravel - There is a host of information on this site explaining how Merseytravel co-ordinates public transport across Merseyside, taking into consideration environmental factors and public interests.  Includes access to bus, train and ferry service information and Merseytravel publications.

Merseyside Journey Planner - This service gives detailed timetable information for all modes of transport for journeys within the North West specified by the user, and includes links to maps of each transport stop.
