HAPPY NAPPY - Nappy Incentive Scheme
It is estimated that in Liverpool alone we dispose of a staggering 21.5 million nappies every year. Once collected these nappies are sent to landfill sites across the country. One of the main concerns with this is that some components in a disposable nappy can take up to 500 years to decompose. Methane gas is produced which contributes to global warning.
Liverpool city council is trying to encourage mums and dads to use re-usable nappies instead of disposable nappies for the reasons mentioned above. We are offering two types of incentives to encourage parents to use re-usable nappies. These are:-
1. Purchasing real nappies and laundering at home. If you choose this option you can claim £ 50 from the authority
*Please note - Payment will only be made on proof of purchase.
2. One month's free trial with Cotton Tails laundry service or Happy bums laundry service. (Click on the links below for more information on these laundery services)
If you are interested in any of the above incentives, please contact Liverpool Direct on 233 3001.
