Liverpool City Council - Multi material kerbside collection

Multi Material Kerbside collection service

What is it?

As from Monday 10th November 2008, the council's multi material collection service will be carried out by Enterprise-Liverpool on a fortnightly basis.

Enterprise-Liverpool will use special refuse collection vehicles to collect all your paper, cans, glass, plastic and cardboard. The vehicles that we use look the same as the normal refuse collection vehicles used to empty your purple wheeled bin, but these vehicles are used solely for recycling.

The authority sends all your recycling to a brand new recycling facility known as a MRF that uses hi-tech machinery to separate recyclable materials. This MRF is based in Bidston.
