Multi Material Kerbside collection service
What is it?
Recycling is the process of turning old and used materials into new products.
When people recycle they prevent the need for natural resources to be used to produce many everyday products. Stopping raw materials from being extracted from the earth helps preserve natural habitats. It also helps the environment by reducing the number of processes (extracting, refining, and processing) involved in producing the new products.
The recycling process saves energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions which help the country tackle climate change. "Current UK recycling is estimated to save more than 18 million tonnes of C02 a year - the equivalent to taking 5 million cars off the road." Recycle now
Not only this but recycling reduces the amount of material sent to landfill. Landfill sites throughout the UK are filling up rapidly and recycled materials are made into new products and diverted from landfill.
How does it work?
Enterprise-Liverpool use special refuse collection vehicles to collect all your paper, cans, glass, plastic bottles and cardboard.
The authority sends all your recycling to a brand new recycling facility known as a MRF that uses hi-tech machinery to separate recyclable materials. This MRF is based in Bidston.Existing customers
