Waste Composition Analysis

Liverpool City Council is taking part in a waste composition analysis along with Merseyside Waste Partnership and Halton Borough Council.  The project is used to give a snapshot of materials that are being disposed of within the residual purple bin, blue recycling bin and green garden bin.  The aim of the project is to allow the authority to be able to focus its efforts to managing waste more sustainability.

Residents in areas where the project is taking place may notice that their bins are moved to a different area for collection and that a different wagon may take their waste (possibly at a different time) Residents can be assured that any material collected as part of the trial will be disposed of via the normal method after the analysis is complete.
