South Central Neighbourhood covers the wards of Princes Park, Greenbank, St Michael's, Wavertree, Church and Childwall.  It stretches south from Smithdown Road, through Toxteth, Princes and Sefton Parks down to Aigburth.  The area extends through Wavertree towards the city boundary, south of the West Coast main railway line bordering Mossley Hill and including Calderstones Park.

The area is also home to many of the city's diverse communities - particularly centred on the Granby and Toxteth areas of Princes Park ward, and acts as a social, cultural and economic focus for many more. South Central is leading on a number of projects to celebrate the city's diversity.
