Neighbourhood Management Services (NMS) is a new way to deliver services at a local level.  It lets residents get easy access to services tailored to the needs of the local area.   This is done through five community based teams.

The service aims to:

  • deliver services at a local level to each area's own needs;
  • work with the community and local partners to make sure those living in the City have a decent, well managed home;
  • provide opportunities for jobs in each area; through skills and training for all;
  • work with other Local Authorities and Government Agencies to tackle a range of social problems;
  • build an excellent service for the residents and businesses of Liverpool; so that we are seen as an example of best practice;
  • develop and support well serviced, safe and sustainable neighbourhoods;
  • improve the health, quality of life and job opportunities for all people in Liverpool; through true community involvement.

This new approach makes sure you can access services more easily.  There is a team of multi-skilled staff based in local areas, with local knowledge.  It is easy to contact these teams: via e-mail (see Neighbourhood Management Areas), by telephone to Liverpool Direct, or in person at your local One Stop Shop

Neighbourhood Services and the housing regeneration programme are carried out through five Neighbourhood Teams based across the city.
