In most local authorities it takes me 4 weeks and 15 phone calls to get hold of this information but you have made it available online - brilliant! I thought I would email just to congratulate you on such good practice and transparency. Most of the time I find that people only email to complain about websites, never to praise, so thank you for your efforts which make my research life a lot easier.

Just a quick msg to say how impressed I have been, as a very amateur family history researcher, with the City web sites. Not only this but I get answers which are helpful and quick and invariably point me in directions I had not thought of. Whether it is the museums, the libraries or the records office, all have provided an excellent service which is significantly more effective than any of the city central services I have approached in my research. I live in Kent but my ancestors all came from Liverpool and they would have been proud of their city today.
I am impressed by Liverpool diversity of culture and arts from its official website.
