Applications and referrals.

Day Services operate an application and referral procedure and this is followed in the case of every application to ensure Fair Access to Care services.
Day Services in the future.
Liverpool City Council is highly committed to improving its services to people and the Government expectation is that day services are hugely improved.
Liverpool City Council is also committed to ensuring that everyone in the City gets a fair access to the services that are available.
Therefore, further to the Government White Paper 'Valuing People', The National Service Framework for Older People, a recent Liverpool City Council Best Value, and various Social Services Inspectorate reports, plans are currently being made and consulted on to ensure that the people of Liverpool, when required, receive a high quality, accessible day service that will...enable people...to lead full and purposeful lives in their communities and develop a range of activities including leisure interests friendships and relationships. To achieve this we will take forward a five year programme to modernise local councils' day services."
