Inspection of services for disabled people

In January 2007 the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) and the Healthcare Commission  jointly carried out an inspection Liverpool City Council and its partner Primary Care Trust.  

The scope of the inspection included

  • Social care services for people with physical or sensory impairment which are commissioned or provided by the council. 
  • An assessment of the council and Primary Care Trust's joint working and jointly provided services. 
  • Community equipment and wheelchair services, audiology and ophthalmology services for people with physical or sensory impairment which are commissioned or provided by the PCT.
