ContactPoint: engaging children, young people and families
DfES have established reference groups to get regular advice and input as the project develops. These groups work with practitioners, children, young people and families to make sure that ContactPoint develops in line with their needs.
The views of children, young people and families played a key role in shaping the government's decision to establish ContactPoint. We will continue to take account of their views throughout development.
The DfES has published its plan for engaging with children, young people and families. The feedback we receive will inform our engagement with children, young people and families throughout 2007 and beyond.
We have also run a number of focus groups with parents and carers. Many more are planned throughout development and implementation.
