Drug and Alcohol Team
The local authority Drug and Alcohol Team was formed in 1995. Under the Community Care Act, the Drug & Alcohol Team became responsible for the assessment and funding of places in Drug & Alcohol residential rehabilitation units.
It also provides advice to other professionals in both the drug/alcohol field as well to other services and the public.

- Who are likely to become homeless because of drug/alcohol misuse
- Young people 18 plus who are misusing drugs/alcohol
- Who present a significant risk to themselves or others.
