If you require health advice or treatment there are a number of options available to you.

You can make an appointment with your GP, your local surgery can advise you of opening times and the services they offer.

If you are unsure about the best place to get treatment you can visit NHS Direct Online -www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk or telephone NHS Direct on 0845 4647 who can offer health advice over the telephone but will also signpost you to the most appropriate service. 

The a 24-hour NHS Direct telephone nurse advice and health information service provides confidential information on: 

  • What to do if you or your family are feeling ill.
  • Particular health conditions.
  • Local healthcare services, such as doctors, dentists or late night opening pharmacies.

Serious injuries and illnesses should be treated at the Accident & Emergency units at the Royal Liverpool Hospital, or Aintree Hospital in Fazakerley and Alder Hey Hospital for Children.
