Every year, millions of pounds in benefits go unclaimed because people do not know what they are entitled to, or do not feel able to make a claim without help.
To help all Liverpool residents claim their full entitlements, the Benefits Maximisation Service offers a team of specialist advisers. They can provide advice, guidance and assistance with the full range of welfare benefits, including benefits for:

- People with an illness or a disability
- Carers
- People with children
- People in work
- People thinking of going back to work
- Older people
- Young people and care leavers
What can we do?
The Benefits Maximisation Service can offer:
- A detailed benefit check to see whether you are entitled to any additional benefits, and whether any existing benefits are being paid at the correct rate
- Help you to make a claim for any new or increased benefits - including backdating claims
- Help you challenge decisions to stop benefits - including help with overpayments
- Represent you at appeal tribunals
- Where we cannot help you we will refer you to an appropriate local specialist agency or department
