Pet Care During Hospitalisation - Information
Liverpool City Council has a duty under the National Assistance Act 1948 to kennel service users' pet(s) when they are:
a) admitted as a patient to any hospital, or
b) admitted to Part III Accommodation ( i.e. Nursing Home, Residential Home, etc) under the above Act, or
c) removed to any place under an order made via the above Act (i.e. sectioned).

How do I get help?
If you have been admitted, or are going to be admitted to hostpital or a nursing or residential home and you need your pet taken care of. Speak to your social worker who will make the appropriate arangements.

How much does it cost?
There is a charge for this service and attempts will be made to recover all costs incurred by Liverpool City Council where appropriate/possible. The details  of the charges will be explained when an application is made .
