Travel Passes
Merseytravel provides Older Persons Travel passes, to Merseyside residents over 60 years old.

Merseytravel also  provides Disabled Persons Travel passes, (as determined by Transport Act) to people  who are:

  • blind or partially sighted 
  • profoundly or severely deaf
  • without speech.     

Or have :

  • a disability or an injury which has a substantial and adverse effect on the ability to walk
  • loss of use of both arms or without arms; and 
  • a learning disability.

or would be refused a licence to drive a motor vehicle on the grounds of:

  • epilepsy  
  • severe mental disorder 
  • liable to sudden attacks of giddiness or fainting 
  • established dementia conditions.       

Merseytravel Travel pass holders can travel, at no cost, throughout Merseyside on Bus, Rail or Ferry.

Merseytravel administers and pays for, a door to door transport service, called Merseylink, for severely mobility impaired Merseyside residents, and schedules users trips.
