Carol

Carol is a 3 year old little girl, small in stature but of solid build weighing 2st 5lbs and measuring 3ft in height. She has a pale complexion, shoulder length blonde hair and blue eyes.

Carol is generally healthy and seldom complains of feeling unwell. Carol can be a fussy eater and requires encouragement in this area. Carol sleeps well and no longer needs a nappy during the night. She enjoys bath time and possesses sound self-care skills.

Carol initially appears to be a shy child. However, she possesses a vibrant personality. She does have a bossy tendency when playing with her peers. She interacts well with staff and children. She can be a very loving and affectionate and responds well to individual attention. She remains very close to her siblings and derives a lot of comfort from their presence, particularly at bed times.

Carol is a charming and humorous little girl, has an inquisitive nature and has a fascination for anything and everything.

Carol enjoys structured play as well as free play, and displays a very creative and artistic imagination, particularly when engaged in 'house', 'school' play or play with her dolls. Carol enjoys unit activities both indoors and doors. Carol continues to attend school for five sessions per week. She looks forward to going and seems settled there.

David

David is a loveable 2 year old little boy. He measures 1ft 10ins and weighs 2st, he is of small build. David has short fair hair, brown eyes and a pale complexion.

David eats well, enjoying varied and balanced diet, often feeding himself. He settles well at bedtime, sleeping approximately 12 hours and still enjoys a 1 hour nap during the day.

David is confident in his bath enjoying splashing and playing with his water toys.

David enjoys attention and is affectionate. He likes to interact with other children in the unit, as well as his siblings. However, he can display a temper and there is evidence of a strong willed character.

David can make himself understood by expression, gesture, as well as verbally. David also appears to understand everything that is said to him.

David is thriving from both individual attention and group interaction. He enjoys unit activities be it indoors or outdoors.

James

James is eight years old. He weighs 3st 8lbs and measures 4ft in height. James has short blonde hair, blue eyes and a freckled complexion.

James is a generally healthy child who seldom complains of feeling unwell. James does have difficulties with his speech with regard to pronunciation. However, this is currently being reviewed.

James eats and sleeps well. He occasionally bed wets. James requires support and encouragement in this area.

James is a lively and friendly boy. He can be sensitive and is usually considerate of other people's feelings. He is protective of his younger siblings and remains close to them.

James requires firm boundaries as he is constantly testing adult authority. When challenged, James can become aggressive both verbally and physically, although he calms down relatively quickly and can listen to reason.

James attends school. He is statemented to Level 5 and receives 10 hours of extra support each week. James does struggle but tries very hard with this school/home work. James is a popular member of his class and enjoys going to school.

Generally James is a likeable child who displays a good sense of humour and a pleasant nature.

Jean

Jean is a healthy five year old little girl. She is of sturdy build weighing 3st 3lbs and measuring 3ft 8ins height. She has shoulder length light brown hair and brown eyes.

Jean eats and sleeps well but occasionally bed wets. Jean enjoys bath time and maintains a good standard of self-care skills appropriate to her age.

Jean is usually well behaved and polite, however, she sometimes chooses to ignore what is being said to her. She requires firm boundaries and a consistent approach.

Jean is confident when in familiar surroundings and possesses a good sense of identity, maintaining a close bond with her siblings.

Jean appears to be a well-adjusted child who interacts well with peers and adults. She has a vibrant personality and a friendly nature.

She is a well-liked member of the class and tries hard with her work. Jean's school has reported that she is making a promising start to school life.
