Integrated Children's Service (ICS)

The Integrated Children's Service is a multi-agency service that acts as a single point of access to all services for children and families within the City of Liverpool.

The Integrated Children's Service:

  • Responds to enquiries from children, families and professionals.
  • Provides a single point for receiving and generating referrals for services for children.
  • Manages the identification, referral and tracking of vulnerable children.
  • Provides a contact point for fostering and adoption services.   

Our work involves:

  • Initial evaluation of user needs.
  • Information and advice giving.
  • Sign-posting for non-assessed services.
  • Receiving and generating referrals.
  • Professional consultation.
  • Commission emergency and/or preventive services.
  • Checking and collating information, through use of information systems and records.
