The City Centre South Zone of opportunity is located in the South Central area of the City close to two of the City's Victorian parks and the waterfront. The Zone includes the Granby, Lodge Lane and Princes Park Renewal Areas. View the zone boundary by clicking on the map above.
The housing market in the City Centre South Zone suffers from problems of low demand private housing, high vacancy rates and concentrations of sub-standard privately-rented houses.
Despite this, the area holds great potential for the future. In addition to its many buildings of distinctive character offering significant strength to build upon, the zone is located near to strong housing markets in the city centre, south Liverpool, Sefton Park and along the Mersey Waterfront.
The area is also home to a broad spectrum of cultural communities representing the city's vibrant diversity.
