Liverpool City Council - joining a housing association

Joining a housing association

There are two ways you can join a Housing Association's list to apply for a home.

  1. If you know that a certain Housing Association offers homes in a specific area you are interested in; contact the Housing Association directly. See our list of Housing Associations operating in Liverpool; or

  2. The Council and Housing Association work together to process applications. You can apply to our joint Property Pool (choice based lettings system) which brings together empty properties from a range of landlords. This process puts you at the centre of the letting process, allowing you to choose which property - or even which Housing Association - which you are are interested in.

Housing associations give a useful addition to the Council's own stock of properties. If you are interested in this possibility you should say so on your housing application form. You will then be considered for both.
