Tenants Groups
Funding for tenants groups
If you are a Tenants and Residents Association and represent a minimum of 30 Council tenants within your area, you may be entitled to a "Tenant Participation Grant".
If you have a Council property as an office, you may also be entitled to an "Office Expenditure Grant".
To qualify, your group must meet certain conditions that are set out in the Tenant Participation Compact. You will need to have:-
- a constitution;
- open financial accounts;
- an equal opportunities policy;
- produced regular newsletters;
- annual general meetings;
- a record and map of all members of the association;
- an elected committee.
The Tenant Involvement Service and the Liverpool Federation for Council Tenants and Residents Associations will work with groups to help them meet this criteria.
