Liverpool City Council - Housing

Housing

We're working hard to improve our understanding of the local housing markets, set priorities for capital investment and service delivery, and provide real benefits to you.

This section of the website will give you an introduction to our work and responsibilities.

We no longer have a "Housing Section" like other Councils do. All of our Council owned homes were transferred to registered social landlords between 1998 and 2008.

We do, however, have a Housing Strategy Team who look at the overall picture of housing within the city.  They identify where problems exist within our housing areas, and seek funding to put things right where necessary.

Environmental Health are responsible for enforcing standards of rented housing.

If you'd like to contact us you can do so by calling Liverpool Direct on 0151 233 3001 or at one of our One Stop Shops.
