Work experience with Liverpool City Council

Liverpool City Council is committed to fully supporting Liverpool Compacts Education Business Programmes, through providing wide ranging, interesting and enjoyable opportunities for school students.  We will offer the chance to develop confidence, key skills and career ideas in a well planned and supportive environment.

In 2008, the city council offered in excess of 300 work placements and over the past three years over 500 young people from Liverpool have had their first experience of the world of work with us.

At present, placements within Liverpool City Council are only available for Year 10 and 11 students who attend Liverpool schools.  The school Work Experience Co-ordinator will have information on the specific placements offered to each school and will accept bookings for placements.
