Placement Title: Farm Assistant - Croxteth Park
- Description: Croxteth Hall & Country Park belongs to Liverpool. We the City Council workers run the Farm. It is a working Farm which allows many visitors to view the animals.

Practical farm work ensuring the farm is neat, tidy and safe - Farm Rangers -
Run the various specialist programmes on offer to the public. - Farm Assistants -
Ensure the farm is clean, neat and tidy and the animals are well looked after.

- What would I be doing?
Responsibilities initially are to keep safe at all times. Progress will depend on the student. The routine work may stay the same every day but lots of other training opportunities are available, there are never two days the same. Generally you will be expected to observe the daily duties of a working farm and assist where necessary.
There may be opportunity to take part in a whole range of activities from the planning stage to delivering and monitoring events depending upon the time of year of the placement and shadowing the Arts & Development Assistant to meetings. General administration, photocopying filing, word processing and reception duties
- DRESS CODE - Overalls, gloves and steel-toe capped boots will be provided.
- LUNCH - Bring your own lunch or buy lunch from local shops - there is also a café on site - open in Summer only.
- TRANSPORT - You must make your own travel arrangements to and from your placement

Placement Title: Hall Attendant - Croxteth Hall
- Description:
Hall Attendants provide support services for all other sections at Croxteth Hall and Country Park. Emphasis is on customer care to all visitors, function guests and conference delegates
- Who works there and what do they do?
- Support Services -
Has the day to day responsibility of supervising attendants. Booking and planning room hire for conferences, weddings and functions etc. - Hall Attendants -
Responsibilities include the general maintenance of all visitor/private areas and providing and serving refreshments for functions and conferences.

- What would I be doing? Working as a team member. Daily contact with all visitors to the Hall. General maintenance, cleaning. Setting up various rooms for conferences/functions. Opening and closing the visitor route within the hall. Experience of providing excellent customer care service to the customer.
Who works there and what do they do? Routine duties, which include all the above and involves some physical work. Also answering activated alarms within the visitor route of the hall by using a radio.

Placement Title: Gardner Asssitant - Heritage Garden, Croxteth
- Description: All aspects of horticultural activities in the Victorian Walled Garden and Glasshouse duties. The garden is also open for public viewing from April - September.

Has the day to day responsibility of planning and maintenance of gardens, - Senior Heritage Gardener -
Supervises the team in the absence of the Line Manager - Heritage Gardens -
Assists with the planning and maintenance of Walled Garden.

- What would I be doing?
Working with a team. Knowledge of how plants grow outside and in a glasshouse environment. Communicating with customers.
Introduction to the Walled Garden and glasshouses and to Health & Safety issues. Work with a small team on garden projects. Variable depending on the season.
