- What experience would I get?
The Council operates over 300 cars, minibuses and vans of varying sizes and types. You will gain experience in managing a vehicle fleet including arranging maintenance and monitoring the quality of work done by contractors. The underlying role is to ensure vehicles are used and operated safely. You will also be able to develop skills in preparing specifications for acquisition of new vehicles. You would develop knowledge of current legislation relating to operating vehicles - What would I be doing?
Accompanying Fleet Officers to contractors premises to approve work, check invoices and ensure standards of work are to the highest level and in accordance with current legislation -
