Placement Title: Retail Assistant (Croxteth Park)
Description: Croxteth Hall & Country Park serves the Liverpool and wider communities with a range of visitor attractions and facilities backed up by a varied public events programme. Emphasis is on customer care to all visitors, event guests and visiting groups.
- Who works there and what do they do?
Retail Manager - Responsible for cash security and reconciliation, ordering and controlling stock, controlling staff scheduling to reflect service requirements, staff training and development, liase with other departments to ensure service delivery, assist the co-ordination of events programme, to continue L.C.C's commitment to equal opportunities and to promote non-discriminatory practices. - What experience will I get?
Students will gain experience in communicating with members of the public both on the telephone and face to face. Working and interacting with colleagues at all levels. - What will I be doing?
Assisting support management in the effective operation of all facilities. Serving and assisting members of the public. Ordering and controlling of stock and other stocktaking duties. Assist in operation of Events Programme. Maintain resource material for school visits (Teachers Packs etc). Booking in users of facilities including school groups and advising on activities at the Park.

LUNCH - Bring your own lunch or buy lunch from local shops. There is also a café on site - open during summer only.
TRANSPORT - You must make your own travel arrangements to and from your placement
