Music

Liverpool has a tremendous heritage in both popular and classical music. This is reflected in the number of live music venues in the city, featuring a wide range of music, from small local bands to internationally known artists.

Royal Court Theatre
This classic art-deco theatre mainly caters for rock and pop concerts, but occasionally plays host to a number of plays and pantomimes

There a number of local venues where up and coming bands are given the opportunity to play and start building up their reputation. Some of these include The Flying Picket in Hardman Street and The Krazyhouse in Wood Street.

Philharmonic Hall
The superb art deco Philharmonic Hall, home of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, also features a broad programme of top names from rock, jazz, world and contemporary music and comedy. Plus classic films on its unique rising cinema screen.

Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra
The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the world's oldest concert-giving organisations, giving over 60 concerts a year, with world-class artists, at its home, Philharmonic Hall.
