Broadway Market opened in 1971, and is one of two permanent indoor markets in Liverpool, the other is in St John's Precinct in the City Centre..
In 1995 a major fire in the market disrupted trade for a short time, but the market was completely refurbished and soon re-established itself as an essential part of local community shopping.
Many of Broadway market traders have been trading there since the original market opened; they are dedicated and loyal to the local community and welcoming to all shoppers and visitors.
