Liverpool Farmers Markets

Liverpool Farmers Market

The person who will be selling you your fruit, vegetables and meat is the person who has grown or reared it.  You can be safe in the knowledge that they will be able to answer any questions about your purchase.  All traders in the market must come from within a 30 mile radius, so not only are you buying fresh first class produce, you are also supporting your local community.

We all know healthy eating is vitally important for both adults and children.  A balanced diet including daily fresh fruit and vegetables contributes greatly to a healthy lifestyle.

Eating just 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day will provide you with the right amount of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to set you up with a healthy body and mind and there has never been a better time to improve your diet and support your local community by purchasing organically grown produce from one of your local Farmers markets.

All of the Farmers Markets in Liverpool have a really strong community feeling.  Traders from Merseyside and the surrounding area gather proudly under their traditionally decorated stalls to sell their home grown produce including organic vegetables and meats, specialist breads and pastries, jams, and much more. This is a place where first class, seasonal produce can be purchased at bargain prices.

The Farmers Markets in Liverpool have become increasingly popular, showing how keen consumers are on buying locally produced, fresh, good quality food and drink at great prices.

Why buy local?

Here are some of the reasons to buy local:

  • Support the local farmers and producers as well as the local economy
  • Buy healthy, fresh produce at a reasonable cost
  • Less packaging and labelling is used, producing less waste
  • Produce travels fewer miles to reach its point of sale, helping to reduce congestion and pollution

New Addition to the Farmers Market Programme
