Special Events

Continental market on Church Street

Liverpool plays host to a variety of speciality markets each year.  Traders come to the city from across the world, and each market brings with it a unique atmosphere and shopping experience. Owing to the specialist nature of such markets, some are not as regular as the markets listed below.

International Street Markets

Liverpool plays host to the 'International Street Market', welcoming traders from Belgium, Sweden, Germany, France, Holland and Spain to display their fresh produce within an authentic setting.

The passion of Markets specialists Geraud Markets Liverpool Ltd has resulted in an even bigger, better and more diverse Market offer with more nationalities, more crafts and more foods.

Produce available on International market days includes fresh bread and pastries, confectionary, cheeses, speciality meats and hot dishes, original woodwork, plants, bags and much more!

The next International Market will take place from 1st-5th April 2010, on Lord Street, Paradise Street and Whitechapel.

Building on partnership working for the 'Chocolate Fair' in 2009, it is proposed to hold an Easter event in Liverpool One on Paradise Place, Wall Street and School Lane which will link with the planned International Market from 1st-5th April 2010.

Farmers Markets

Liverpool's Farmers Markets are a recent addition to the speciality markets programme which take place throughout the year, but already they are a big success.  There are a number of Farmers Market days, operating across the City, all selling fresh produce from local North West farmers and producers.

With a wide variety of stalls selling fresh Fruit and vegetables, as well as meats, fish, cheeses, bread, pastries, cakes and organic produce, this great opportunity to meet local producers and sample a wide range of foods produced locally from across the North West.
