Events

Liverpool's Ranger Interpretation Service run events throughout the City's Parks and greenspaces, providing guided walks and community events to educate, inform and entertain you.  Their events programme is available here.  You can book Ranger events  using the online booking form, or contact Liverpool Direct on 051 233 3007.

Our Parks are also used as 'Liverpool's greatest events venue', providing great spaces to hold public events. We also list these events here, together providing a huge choice of leisure entertainment for everyone.  There are hundreds of events held in Parks every year.

NEW!View a Calendar of events - this link opens a Google Calendar page, which is updated with any extra events not shown on the downloads below.  As there are so many events on the Calendar we recommend selecting the 'Agenda' tab to view what's on.  Select the 'Back' button to return to this website.

The events are listed in downloads (click on the pictures below), allowing you to view them or to print out details if you need them. We also run a monthly e-newsletter 'Love Parks', sending out details of current events and news from the City's Parks.  You can get this by e-mailing parks@liverpool.gov.uk, with the message subject as 'Love Parks' and including details of your name, address and postcode.  We promise not to pass your details on to anyone else or bombard you with messages.

'Regular events' take place generally on a weekly basis.  Because of their frequency they are not included on the monthly lists.  These include the popular Walking and Cycling for Health programmes.

2010 is Liverpool's Year of Health and Wellbeing. Liverpool Parks and Greenspaces improve the health of all our communities, so this is a particularly appropriate year for our Parks.  The extra events in the 'Discover' programme create more opportunities for people to become involved in this special year.  More details (and a calendar of events) on the Health and Wellbeing website.

The Year of Health and Wellbeing starts with a Festival on 6th & 7th February, with a Community Cycle Ride and the Festival of Health and Activity at Wavertree Sports Park - download details here (PDF [1.1Mb] opens in new window).

Liverpool's Active Parks programme has a great range of activities available all over the City - see the Activities Page for more information.

Details of all these events are published in our 'Discover Parks' guide.  If you contact us we will put you on our mailing list to be sent a copy of each edition - contact park.rangers@liverpool.gov.uk, or call 0151 233 3007.  The 'Discover' booklets are also available from local libraries and other information outlets.
