Friends Groups

Friends of Parks

Many of Liverpool's parks have "Friends" groups, who actively contribute to their management and upkeep. If you are interested in finding out more about the activites of park "Friends" groups please call 0151 233 3001 or email parks@liverpool.gov.uk

A Parks Friends Forum has now been established to assist with the networking and establishment of Friends groups. And to compliment this forums work, a series of newsletters have now been published:

Summer 2006 edition: Croxteth Hall and Country Park - A place in history
Spring 2007 edition: St James' Gardens; Doric Park; Local Nature Reserves; Woolton Woods and Reynolds Park

Our latest edition is for Spring 2008 (PDF [3Mb] opens in new window) and includes a bit about biodiversity, forthcoming events and current projects.

Groups

All these Parks have Friends Groups - contact us for more details on joining them.  If you would like to set up a Friends Group in a Park not on our list we can provide help and support - so get in touch!
