Get to know your Parks a little better

Want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city? Liverpool has acres of beautiful parks and gardens ideal for relaxation and recreation.

In the heart of the city there are quiet havens such as St John's Gardens, St Luke's Churchyard, Falkner Square, St James Mount and Gardens and Our Lady & St Nicholas's Churchyard. On a much grander scale are the great Victorian Parks, Princes Park, Stanley Park, Newsham Park and the internationally acclaimed Sefton Park, a 'Parisian Park' in Liverpool.

Further south lies Clarke Gardens, Springwood Memorial garden, Allerton Towers, Reynolds ParkCamp Hill and Calderstones Park, the latter noted for its feature gardens and rare trees. Walton Hall Park covers 130 acres including a lake for model boating and fishing and excellent sports provision focussed on the park sports centre.
