Football Parking
The home grounds of Liverpool FC and Everton FC are both based in residential areas, which results in football fans parking their cars on the roadside, causing problems for residents on match days.
The Football match Parking Zone has been set up to help reduce these problems.
What is the Football Match Parking Zone (FMPZ)
The FMPZ is designed to provide parking spaces for residents living close to the City's two main football grounds, Anfield and Goodison.
How does it work?
Residents within the Zone are issued with permits, which they are to display in their cars on match days.
There are two types of permit issued to residents:
Resident's Parking Permit
Visitor's Parking Permit
N.B Permits do not guarantee a parking space nor allow parking on yellow lines
What areas does the Football Match Parking Zone cover?
Liverpool Direct can advise whether your road is within the FMPZ. However the map below can be used as a rough guide, although not all the Areas shown have, or will be, included within the scheme.
What happens to a car that doesn't display a permit on match days?
Under the scheme, any cars not displaying a Residents or visitors Parking Permit on match days may be given a Penalty Charge Notice (parking ticket) by a Parking Attendant.
How do I get a permit?
If you live within the FMPZ Please contact Liverpool Direct.
