FIA

We are a member of the Fitness Industry Association which is a trade body promoting excellence and best practice within the health and fitness sector. As an operating member we aim to provide high standards of health and fitness activities, giving assurance and confidence to all our customers.
 

In 2006/7, we attracted over 2.7 million visits across our wide range of facilities ranging from large wet and dry leisure centres to a riding centre for disabled persons.  

Activities and sports catered for are many, and cater for unborn babies and their mothers via Aqua-natal classes through to our many 50+ clubs. Our A-Z of Activities is currently being updated so please contact individual centres for details. 

There are now 11 Lifestyles fitness suites providing modern exercise equipment with qualified instruction in an air conditioned environment. 

Swimming is provided at 9 locations with specific sessions for parent and toddlers, swimming lessons for all ages, lifeguard award training and swimming teacher awards. 

In addition there are 9 centres with floodlit outdoor synthetic multi-sports areas catering for several sports.

Each year we conduct a 'How are We Doing' (MS Word [728Kb] opens in new window) customer survey to establish levels of satisfaction with the service and aim to improve performance year on year.  

Our fees and hire charges are set to encourage all citizens and visitors to take up an active Lifestyle. There are 3 membership schemes offering unlimited access to specific activity groups via advance or 'direct debit' payment and there is a concessionary scheme allowing Liverpool residents entitled to certain state and other benefits to receive discounted admission when they visit.
