CAPITA City of Liverpool Sports Awards

Every year the City of Liverpool holds a civic ceremony to celebrate the achievements of those young sportsmen and sportswomen who have represented the City with distinction during a 12-month period at either national or international level.

The evening underlines the value of sport to the cultural wellbeing of the city and is presided over by the Lord Mayor and several civic dignitaries as well as attracting well-known sports stars and guest speakers, such as Olympians Steven Parry, Tessa Sanderson and Footballer Phil Thompson.

What is the criteria for application?
Athletes should be resident, go to school or represent a club within the City of Liverpool and that their achievements are of national significance i.e. selection for their country, gold, silver or bronze medal in national competition.
