Rise & Shine

Sportslinx Rise & Shine
SportsLinx is an exciting and innovative Sport and Recreation project, which is targeted at children in the city of Liverpool and is the largest ongoing local authority project of its kind in Europe.
Sportslinx is a multi-faceted programme which is now at the heart of how sport, health and physical activity schemes are delivered across the whole of Liverpool. We target children, teachers, parents and families, and apart from encouraging sporting activity we promote and raise awareness of nutrition and healthy eating as well as teaching children and adults basic cooking skills.
What is Rise & Shine?
Sportslinx Rise and Shine is a free one day dance workshop, which is designed to be fun, captivating and energising. It is an intervention programme to get children physically activity and contributes to the Government requirement of 5 hours of physical activity per week. The dance routines have now been delivered in most primary schools in Liverpool. The whole school learn the routines and are encouraged to practice them as part of the daily school routine.
Liverpool Sport and Recreation Service now would like to say thank you to schools for their commitment and participation by celebrating with this BIG Rise & Shine event!
