Meet the Newscentre Team
The newscentre handles all media relations for the city council.
It is responsible for ensuring that print, broadcast and web-based media are kept up to date with all news from the city council, and is the first point of contact for all journalists.
A team of staff write and issue press releases to the media, and also handle hundreds of enquiries from local, regional, national and international journalists every week.
Each member of staff is responsible for specific areas of the city council and has specialist knowledge.
The newscentre also produces 'City' - a magazine delivered to every home in Liverpool with news and features about what is happening in the city.
