Breckfield Community Environment Action Day

Breckfield held a Community Clean Up and Safety Campaign in key areas such as Salisbury Road, St Domingo Vale/Grove, Dacy Road.  Work was also undertaken around Robson Street, Breck Road, Oakfield Road and Walton Breck Road. 

The aim of the Community Environment Action Day was to work in partnership with the community to make it a safer, cleaner place to live.

The partnership had liaised with local residents' associations and the Lighthouse Community Centre on their concerns for the area in relation to environmental issues. 

The event was seen as a great success with a multi agency approach and partners included Breckfield and North Everton Neighbourhood Council, Liverpool City Council, Merseyside Police, Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service, Liverpool Housing Trust, Onyx and the Jigsaw Project. 

  • Facilities that were made available included:
    Community Skips Home 
  • Fire Risk Assessments 
  • Environmental Clean Up ( including treatments to vacant properties)
  • Sweeper Zone vehicle removal of fly tipping 
  • Rat baiting of problem sites
