Enforcement and monitoring

The Enforcement and Monitoring Service has been established to target byelaw offences across the city and provide a performance monitoring service for private sector guarding.

Staffed by highly trained officers, they work closely within the family of City Watch Services targeting crime and disorder, anti-social behaviour and improving public reassurance.

The Enforcement Officers provide intensive monitoring of external security provision, improving the standards of service provided to Council premises across the city, and, where required, are involved in training programmes to develop quality standards.

The Enforcement Officers have undertaken a number of projects to target specific types of crime across the city: anti social behaviour, quad bike riding, vehicle crime etc, which have been very successful in the displacement of hot spot problems.
