Why women stay
Women do not stay with the perpetrator because they do not want the violence to end.
Many people feel frustrated by the decision of some abused women to stay with the abuser. There are a variety of reasons as to why women stay in an abusive relationship, and it is vital to understand the painful decision making a woman has to undertake. These reasons include:
- Afraid her partner or ex-partner may track her down.
- Worried about the children not seeing their father.
- Concerned she won't be able to financially support herself.
