Black history month

A celebration of the histories of Black people in Liverpool and Merseyside.  Black History Month has been celebrated every October in the UK for over 30 years.  It is a national and international event to acknowledge acts of achievement, contribution, aspiration, ingenuity and innovation of Black communities to the UK's heritage, arts and culture.

Creating and developing with and between all of Liverpool's different cultural and racial communities, by ensuring that all the communities are informed of and welcomed to our events.

DaDa Fest (Disability & Deaf Arts Festival)

This festival has been developed by Disabled and Deaf Artists based in Liverpool and its surrounding areas. It is managed by North West Disability Arts Forum.  

Visitors to the festival come from all over the UK. The 2003 two-month festival to mark European Year of Disabled People (the festival normally runs for ten days) attracted people from across Europe, Australia and Canada.  

All the work produced throughout the festival is by Disabled and Deaf people from all age groups and experiences and promotes cultural expression and diversity.
