The City works with many local partnerships and other agencies to improve the City.

These include:

  • Liverpool Vision
    An independent company; set up to bring together key public and private sector agencies.   These   put together a strategy to guide the rebuilding of Liverpool City Centre.

  • Liverpool First
    Liverpool First brings together key public, private, voluntary and community sector groups. In February 2002; it was approved as the City's Local Strategic Partnership.

  • The Mersey Partnership (TMP)
    TMP gives the City one body to speak on its behalf.   TMP acts pushes for change, pressing home the Merseyside advantage as a location for inward investment. TMP also markets Merseyside as a place for tourism and conferences.

  • Merseytravel
    A public sector body which oversees public transport in the region.   It aims a flexible transport network, which fits in with the changing needs of the City.

  • Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI)
    LCCI look after business interests in the City.   It gives its members a wide range of services and support to help them keep ahead of the competition.

  • Core Cities
    In 1995; the City Councils in seven major English cities began working together.   They wanted   to set out a vision of the important role that big cities must play in national and regional life in the 21st century.

  • Liverpool Learning Partnership (LLP)
    The City's best asset is its people.   LLP works agencies, businesses and communities to make the city a better place to live and work in.

  • Liverpool Strategic Employment Partnership
    The Liverpool Strategic Employment Partnership (LSEP) is part of the LPG.   The LSEP's main focus is to set up and run projects to meet priorities in our Community Strategy.

  • Neighbourhood Management Service (NMS)
    The City's NMS operates on a fully city wide basis.   It targets and delivers services for local areas; talking to residents and businesses to make sure they are involved in setting priorities.
