Controlled Parking Zones
We operate a number of Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ) in the city.
A CPZ is an area where all on-street parking is controlled. When you enter a zone there's an entry sign to tell you what restrictions apply within it. When you are in a zone, parking is only allowed in parking bays and yellow line restrictions apply.
We don't put signs on each street outlining the yellow line restrictions as these are stated on the entry signs that you see when you enter the zone.
There are also exit signs to tell you when you're leaving a zone.
Examples of entry and exit signs at the edges of each CPZ:

Residents, businesses and visitors can park in marked parking bays if they display a valid parking permit or visitor vouchers.

Motorists who want to park for a short time can use the pay and display bays. On-street pay and display bays cannot be used by motorcyclists.
Liverpool City Council has introduced a park to pay scheme, which allows you to pay for parking space in certain streets and car parks by using your mobile. Please visit our information page
where you can find directions on how to use the service and the locations where it can be used.

Under certain conditions, trades people or site workers are allowed to park on a yellow line next to a particular site on a temporary basis, but only when this is absolutely essential to their work.
Suspensions of pay and display bays may be granted in special circumstances for a fee of £18 per bay each day, plus a £25 administration fee.
