Parking

Liverpool City Council is responsible for enforcing de-criminalised parking restrictions under the powers of the Traffic Management Act, 2004.
This means that our Civil Enforcement Officers (CEO's) may issue Penalty Charge Notices to vehicle owners who are parked on such restrictions as single or double yellow lines, or to vehicle owners who are parked in residents bays without displaying a valid parking permit.
As well as being responsible for issuing penalty notices, Parking Services can also offer advice regarding the residents parking scheme, football match day parking, Blue Badge applications, and available parking facilities throughout the City Centre.
If you are interested in how Parking Services performed in the previous financial year; April 2008 to March 2009, you may view information about such things as the number of Penalty Charge Notices issued, and how we dealt with our complaints by going to our Parking Services Annual Report,
1st April, 2008 to 31st March, 2009.
Parking Services is committed to providing a fair and ballanced service in the enforcement of its duties by contributing to Patrol, the organisation that services the Traffic Penalty Tribunal appeals system. They publish yearly accounts and a record of their auditing system. To view their annual reports and acounts, please visit the Patrol website.
