Liverpool City Council - road building

Road building

Liverpool already has a large road network. We aim to improve this road network so it meets the highest possible standards.  However, the amount of development work within the city means that new local and minor roads are often required.  The council works with developers to ensure that new roads are built to the correct standards, and also deals with highway adoptions and street naming and numbering.

We also have plans to improve the existing link along Hall Lane between Edge Lane and Low Hill/Prescot Street, which is a major gateway to the City Centre and a major freight route from the M62

Visit our Major Schemes pages for more information on Hall Lane.
