When a planning application is made, we must decide whether there is likely to be any effect on the highway.
When we look at planning applications we have to make sure that they will be safe and that they will not cause congestion. We also have to make sure that they are easy to get to, even without a car.
Highway improvements by developers
Developers work with the Council when they need to make changes to the road as part of a development. We must make sure that the work is done to the right standard.
