Traffic Lights
On behalf of the Council, 2020 Liverpool control nearly 500 sets of traffic lights across Liverpool. Using CCTV equipment they can tell when traffic is building up at a junction and change the timings of lights to improve the flow of traffic.
If you are unhappy with the timings of traffic lights in a particular area you should contact 2020 Liverpool. They will then analyse traffic flows to see whether they think the timings should be changed.

Temporary traffic lights are sometimes used to control traffic where sections of a road have been closed temporarily for work to be done on the highway.
