Bridleways, byways and footpaths
There are four categories of public right of way (PROW) - public footpaths, bridleways, byways and roads used as public paths.
Liverpool is an urban environment so our PROW network is not as big as in some other Council areas. At the moment all of our PROW are public footpaths. However, they are an important asset and Highways Management is making big strides in protecting and improving the network for the enjoyment of the people of Liverpool.
