Tour of Britain
7th-14th September sees this year's Tour of Britain. The finale of the 2008 Tour of Britain is taking place in Liverpool on Sunday 14th September. In this year when the North West plays host to the European capital of culture it is fitting that the race should finish overall in the heart of Liverpool. After racing south from Blackpool the stage will culminate with an hour of racing around a city centre circuit in Liverpool at the end of which, the overall winner of the race will be known.
The race itself will finish on The Strand, in the shadow of the Liver Building, one of Liverpool's 'Three Graces', that make up part of the city's iconic waterfront.
