Liverpool City Council - Cycle Speke

Welcome to Cycle Speke

ERDF logoThere are loads of reasons to get on your bike.  Whether it's to work, school or with friends and family, we want you to cycle - and to cycle more.

Cycling is great fun that almost everyone can enjoy!  By getting on your bike you can get fitter, get to where you need to be, fast and for free and see your local area as you have never seen it before.  Download the Cycle Speke Guide (PDF [701.4Kb] opens in new window), showing the great places to explore in and around Speke.

And the great news is that Cycle Speke is already working - cycle trips are up by 30% (PDF [18.8Kb] opens in new window)!

Events
Join us for Cycling Sundays (PDF [135.6Kb] opens in new window) - our bike rides on the 1st Sunday of every month around Speke.  The more rides you come on, the more freebies you can pick up.   Details of the next ride are here.

There are also lots more bike rides and events in Speke and around Liverpool.

Free cycling and maintenance sessions
If you live in Speke you can get free sessions to brush up on your riding skills or gain the confidence to ride on the road.  Sessions are individually tailored to your needs, no matter what your ability. The training is informal and can take place when and where you want but most of all, its fun!

Maintenance sessions will be hands on, covering minor repairs such as fixing punctures to adjusting brake cables.

More information on free cycling and maintenance (PDF [212.6Kb] opens in new window) or to arrange the date and time that's best for you, please call Helen at Cycling Solutions on 0151 234 9484 or text her on 0779 780 5460 and quote 'Cycle Speke'.
